Q:
I have a Dell Inspiron6000 laptop, and I bought it 20 months ago. Before this, there’s nothing wrong with the screen, but recently, there’re some vertical threads appearing on the screen. Now I don’t know how to solve the problem.
The screen changes color basing on the picture displayed, they also messed up the screen at the same time. And it’s quite obvious when scrolling. But when I turned up brightness, the effect disappeared. Besides, interestingly, the cursor always stayed there, but you just couldn’t see it. But this is the only way to delete them all, which remains me think it’s not a completely screen failure.
I tried turning off the machine, and opened them up again to see whether it works. But unfortunately, there’s nothing, so I started a virus scanning, but finally nothing was found.
Hope your help! Thank you so much!

1): Try restarting your system and then entering BIOS. Check up what’s up there, probably a display card failure or motherboard one, but not just a screen problem.
2): You could try using a LinuxLive startup disc, which you could download from Internet for free. You could start from a disc to enter display card interface, with this method, you could know whether there’s something wrong with the thread under graphic mode, and get to know some problems about system drivers.
3): My suggestion is that you could try connecting your screen to an external monitor. Under this circumstances, check up whether there’s still thread on the laptop scr
