Q:
Since I refreshed my DV6000 to new F.29 BIOS, I got this problem. But later I refreshed it back to original F.16, it still gets so high temperature.
HP 6000 configuration:
Vista Ultimate
Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0 GHz.
2GB RAM
GeForce Go 7400 128MB
Western digital 250GB hard drive
Fan version 4.35, static, with Firefox 3 running, each core’s temperature:
Core 0: 62℃-72℃
Core 1: 63℃-72℃
Core 2: 64℃-74℃
Temp1: 64℃-74℃
Graphic card: 70℃-74℃
Hard Disk: 57℃-59℃
HWMonitor test result:
ACPI: 70℃
Core 0: 67℃
Core 1: 66℃
Graphic card: 69℃
Hard Disk: 59℃
After searching through Internet, I find this temperature is really a little higher than general standard.
A:
1): Please first clean up the dust on the thermal module with an air blower, as generally the problem is the most essential place which causes laptop overheating.
2): It’s quite likely that it’s not a repair problem, but caused by design fault, please check out here:

3): Once I repair a similar problem for my customer, but after I did some steps, I got a better thermal performance that you could use RMClock to lower frequency for your laptop, and use a thermal board, which would help a lot to lower your disk temperature.
I used ZALMAN thermal board and the lowered frequency. And finally succeeded to let the temperature stayed around 42℃ when laptop is at static, and around 44-51℃ when
