Rare part of dark screen failures is relevant with monitor switch and cable, generally, when switch and cable are extruded by external force, or impacted, and then failure would happen easily. This would directly lead to dark screen, however, it’s less possible, and because it’s no way that you would let your laptop crashed all the way by accident. So the probability is quite small.
Laptop blurred screen failure is also quite common. Blurred screen means that there’re irregular stripes or shapes shaking when LCD shows. And there might be many reasons for this; different causes may lead to different failure symptoms, so there’re different solutions. In text, it may behave as disordered characters, and usually it would show graph delamination in graphics mode. Horizontal strips may occur because of internal or external interferences. Even worse, system death symptom may happen following. Generally, blurred screen is caused because cable is broken:
1. Shake cable, if blurred screen symptom has obvious response, then change the cable.
2. The problem would happen when graphic card chip is broken or there’s bad soldering. It’s quite rare that the LCD is broken itself.
3. Improper monitor setting may also cause the problem, reset resolution and reinstalled the latest driver.
