HP Compaq 6910p Notebook PC - Automatic wake-up from sleep state

Q: Users has  install Vista Enterprise (32BIT operating system) to HP Compaq 6910p Notebook PC , the USB mouse and keyboard connected to laptop,  wait up for the laptop  enter  to the "sleep" state, this time If you unplug the USB keyboard or mouse, the system will automatically wake up. But other USB devices such as CD-ROM, floppy drive or storage devices will not cause this problem from occurring.


the Engineers have re-installed the system and  upgrade the BIOS to the latest version, but it  can not be resolved.

Affected models: 2510P 6910P 6510B and so on.

 

A: Solution:

   1. Confirmed that a USB keyboard connect to laptop is normal
   2. Into the Device Manager -> Keyboards -> HID Keyboard Device (if there are two devices with the same name, open the second device's property page) - Power Management, Anti-election Allow this Device to Wake Up the Computer
   
3. Save Exit
   4. For the USB mouse is also operating
