Q: In Vista system, there’s a copyright watermark on desktop. Sometimes we may feel it goes against our daily operation, so how to remove it? It’s quite important to remove watermark. So how to do it?
A:
We could modify file user32.dll.mui to remove the watermark information on Vista desktop.
First of all, enter the folder “\Windows\System32\en-US”, right click the file “user32.dll.mui”, on “Security” tab, endue the property of the file “user32.dll.mui” to current user, and on the page “Permissions”, endow current user the “Full Control” to the file.
Next we could back up the file user32.dll.mui.
We could download Resource Tuner or PE Explorer or Resource Hacker to modify Windows Vista executive file or resource files, such as Resource Tuner and some other software.
1. We could cover the original file in system with the file user32.dll.mui, of which watermark information has already been removed. By doing this, we also achieve the goal removing Windows Vista desktop watermark.
2. Afterwards, we restart system and enter safe mode.
3. Enter the directory “\Windows\System32\en-US\”.
4. First of all, take the file user32.dll.mui as a backup and cover the original file with the downloaded file user32.dll.mui.
5. At last, we restart the computer.
