Step 1

Whether you use your macrocomputer or your laptop computer for business or pleasure, there are programs that you do not need that are put on automatically when you purchase your system. Every new system comes with programs that use up space and slow your computer down.

Step 2

All you need to do is go to your start button, click on it. Go to your control panel, click on it. It will bring up all the features and programs that your computer contains. Click on features, or Programs and Features. It may be listed differently on your system, but if you look through it you will find the manufacturer installed programs.

Step 3

When you go through your programs and features, uninstall the features that you do not need or want. If you are unsure of what the program or feature is, do not touch it. Go to your "help" window and find out what it is and what it is used for. You do not want to uninstall something that your computer may need to run properly.
