Q:
I have a HP dv6500t laptop, and I got this terrible problem: at night when I sleep, usually it would auto start up anytime. And when I wake up, usually, I find its fun running in full speed. Any solution to help me solve this problem? Thank you so much!
A:
1) So far as I know, system update might be set to carry out at night, so check up the update setting, and then seek other solution;
2) There’s a good method to stop your laptop starting up randomly, that is, to pull out its power adapter and remove the battery. First check up system update setting, according to my experience, probably it would be the problem of shortcut key, because generally it would cause such strange problem, you can try uninstalling the driver of the shortcut key.
3) Check up your event log to see what exact times at midnight your laptop starts. Check whether there’s some way to know which day and when it would auto start up. When it starts automatically, you may see there some application, which might be set as running state, or a system process is carrying out during this period of time. Therefore, during this time, your laptop might start up automatically.
4) In addition, do you have some Anti-spyware? Probably your laptop gets infected by some spyware, which might cause such a symptom. If you don’t have anti-spyware (even you do, please make sure that your anti-spyware is the latest one and run it periodically), then you should go and install one right now.
