Q:
Hello, everyone. Recently I bought a Dell 6400 laptop, now I want to know whether the 2 buttons at the bottom of the touch pad could respond and there’s loosening problem. I mean that my laptop buttons seem fail to work, should I return the 6400 laptop back? Hope your suggestion and help, thank you!
A:
1): I have repaired many laptops, and many clients have the same problem as yours, but I don’t think it’s a problem. Oppositely, I think it’s a custom problem; or the design is not that perfect, I can say; to tell you the truth, most clients think that the buttons on Lenovo ThinkPad T60 laptop are worse than the ones on Dell 6400, and much slower; of course, for your situation, it’s really difficult to solve the problem through network.
2): Generally speaking, if your buttons feel very soft when your press down, it doesn’t mean that your touch pad and buttons have something wrong. Every laptop has its own standard for touchpad and buttons, but not decided by soft or loosening of course. It’s relevant with the handle feeling of the buttons, and the size and spec of the two buttons around. Besides, it is the basic function, but, obviously you are complaining about its handle feeling problem. You feel it’s too soft, but probably it’s just your personal preference. If both the buttons are soft, and there’s no any bad operation, then it should be a normal symptom. You can take some time to accustom it. If you feel it’s a little big issued, the sensitivity is slow, and then you can enter you
