Adjusting a Laptop Touchpad is easy. If you don't have your touchpad adjusted properly for your comfort level it can be frustrating. If you got a new laptop with Windows 7 these steps will tell you exactly how to adjust your touchpad for your comfort level
Step 1
Click the start button in the bottom left corner of your screen and then select Control Panel.
Step 2
Click Hardware and Sound from the Control Panel selections.
Step 3
Click "Mouse" from under the Devices and Printers category.
Step 4
Select either Left-Handed or Right-Handed under the "Button Configuration" section based on your preference.
Step 5
Put your pointer over the slide bar in the "Double Click Speed" section. Hold the left mouse button below your touchpad and slide the bar in the direction of Slow or Fast, depending how you want your keypad to behave. Take your finger of the left mouse button and double click the folder next to the section. Adjust the slide bar based how on fast or slow the folder responds and your own comfort level.
Step 6
Select Apply and OK once the Laptop Touchpad responds the way you like.
