Q:
My problem is that I am not sure whether my HP dv6700 laptop’s BIOS could work or not.
My laptop’s BIOS is of F.52 version, having 5 options in all:
-main
showing date and informations on the model
-security
administartor password
power on password
-diagnostics
primary hard disk self test
memory test
-system configuration
language
button sound
virtualization technology
processor c4 state
boot options
These are all in my BIOS, without control, without configuration, I even cannot install anything.
I don’t know whether there’s something wrong, but at least there should be a VGA shared memory setup. Then I could allocate certain authority to the display card memory. But I do have nothing to set up.
I really hope somebody could tell me how should I modify the display card shared memory, and I wonder whether my BIOS is broken or not.
Thanks for any help.

1): Laptop’s BIOS is not that smart…most of it is hardware coding.
You don’t have to modify your display card memory setup. Because, first of all, whether you modify integrated display card or not, it would not behave better.
Secondly, independent display card doesn’t occupy any system memory, and setup won’t change anything material, no matter what method you use, even adding shared memory, won’t let it become a powerful display card with more functions.
Besides, after the disposal of driver, along with current working mode, most display card memory would auto change and distributed to the best place without any man
