Before installing new system, SATA AHCI is not enabled, after system installatin, SATA AHCI is enabled. After starting system, blue screen failure occurs. Besides, system is not available to enter.
Cause: Win7/Vista disabled AHCI driver (Msahci.sys), you’d have to first enable SATA driver, and then to change to AHCI mode.
To solve this problem, please before changing the SATA mode of drive, enable AHCI driver in registry. For the sake of this, please follow the next steps:
Exit all applications based on Windows, open regedit, if “User Account Control” dialog appears, please click “Continue”.
Find and click the registry sub item below:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Msahci
On the right side pane, right click the “Start” in the column “Name”, and then click “Modify”.
Keyed 0 to the “Value data” text, and then click OK. In the “File” menu, click “Exit” to close regedit.
