1. To install Vista and Windows 7 system, during advanced installation, don’t format drive C and install, you’d have to delete drive C and create drive C, 100MB hidden undistributed disk will auto form. The 100MB will never change. If this space doesn’t form, disk 142 error and 7f error will appear in Vista and Windows 7 system. In BIOS setup, except AHCI option, you’d better disable Inte(R) c-state tech.
2. In Vista and Windows 7, don’t use Vista mater and optimization master as possible as you could to change and optimize something, especially for Windows 7.
3. For nv9600MGT and other display cards, don’t use Vista driver to install directly, but to right click on desktop to check the option of the display card, choose to reinstall driver and then choose Vista driver directory and install directly. (no blue screen or restart when using player)
4. User power saving mode for power setup, and set it never shut down, which will reduce failure rate.
5. In display card advanced setup, set some too high option setting lower.
6. Memory error 0x00000142、0x000007f、0x000000a through Internet, actually is caused because of nonexistence of 100MB undistributed space. It’s not always the business of memory or CPU. If it’s the problem of CPU, then disable interc-statetech. Don’t change hard disk, memory or even CPU, that’s all rumors.
I’ve installed for almost 10 times with 48 hours one after another.
