Q:
My laptop is HP DV9000, recently, I found that there’s much dust on the surface of my laptop keyboard, even there’s some dust seem already entered the keyboard inside. I wonder how to clean them up? Hope your any advice and help!
A:
1. Keyboard is the part which is easiest to get dust piled up on. Check up one key hat, and then you can know that the downside of hats is the best place for dust to hide. Too much dust will accelerate the corruption of the keyboard conductive plastic, finally to cause damage to the keyboard print circuit.
If you want to clean up the keyboard thoroughly, then you’d have to disassemble the key hats one by one, which is very troublesome. So in order not to get yourself to this step, you should not let computer exposed to the environment of large dust as possible as you could. You’d better not to eat anything before laptop, especially the food with flying leavings and full of liquid; probably they will penetrate to the host inside, damaging the motherboard. Whereas, this kind of damage is not belonging to the repair warrant range for free.
2. Before cleaning, first of all, we should prepare the tools below, which you could easily find out: flannel cloth or paper, brush pen, tooth brush, toothpaste. The key hat part of common keyboard could be removed; also the method to disconnect is quite simple, prize the key hats one by one with a small knife from the corner parts of the keyboard area to the center. (Improved little screwdriver is also OK). Afterwards, clean up with toothbrush and toothpaste gra
