Q:
Recently I bought a XPS1210 laptop, equipping with 6-core battery. If I don’t plug external power supply, the battery could hold almost 3 hours or more, and now I want to know what’s the actual using time of 9-core battery?
Hope your suggestion and help, thank you!
A:
1): This is hard to say, because battery capacity depends on how you use your laptop, such as watching movies, playing games, all these would consume much power. But it would save much power if just listen to the music or do something with letter disposal. For 6-core battery, I know an average value, about 2 to 2.7 hours, and for 9-core one, about 4 to 4.7 hours. Once I did a test, my 9-core battery could even reach more than 6 hours. Of course it’s just at a static state, and that’s really marvelous, hope this could help!
2): Case 1: using for more 5 hours. If it’s equipped with Intel 950GMAt, it could reach 6 hours. And with integrated display card, it even could reach more 6 hours.
3): Case 2: I turned down lightness a little on the laptop, and opened WIFI and many browsing windows, the 9-core battery held about 4 hours. If you turn off everything, it could reach 5 hours easily. And the test system equipped with T7200CPU and NVIDIA7400 display card.
4): Case 3: the capacity display in system is just an evaluation, if you really want to test the most veritable data , then you should first charge it full, and observe its consuming when doing different tasks.
On 6-core battery, take 7400 display card for an example, when running 3DMark, the test result is 2.3
