f you use sleep or hibernation function, after restoring, sound card might have problem with sound, there’s much great noise.
 Besides, as sleep and hibernate all need to shut down hard disk, but for system doesn’t support ACPI well, disk is shut down without cutting off power, even the disk is not off completely. Probably few seconds after you leave, the disk would start again. In this way, the magnetic head would get great impact of current within a short time, even hasn’t reset. Then the life of the hard disk might get impacted greatly.
  Suggest if you find bugs with your XP system sleep or hibernation function, you’d better to change a good power or working motherboard, if you don’t tend to change it, then you’d better not to use XP sleep or hibernation function.
