Under the branch HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/ControlS/essionManager /MemoryManagement, on the right side pane of PrefetchParameters, set the value of EnablePrefetcher as following suggestion: if use PIII 800MHz CPU or above, then suggest changing the value to 4 or 5, otherwise, suggest preserving the data value to default 3.
8. Reduce boot loading projects.
Every time when system starts, laptop would auto run many applications, which not only prolong the boot time, but also consume many system resources. Run “Msconfig” command and find out “Stratup”, there are the loading items and sources when system starts in the “startup” list. Please check up whether you need it to load automatically. Otherwise, clear the checkbox of the item, the less the loading items there are, the faster boot speed would be. And after this, you need to restart system to let it take effect.
