5. Use external power supply as possible as you could.
  When the static in human body meet with laptop, the static would be released, leading to sudden change on voltage, probably this would cause blue screen or system crash failure. As for such a situation, suggest using external power supply. Meanwhile, keep laptop power adapter’s three-pin plug grounding well.
6. What to do after static failure happens?
In daily life when use a laptop, the most common symptom is that when body touches machine, static discharging failure happens, which leads to failure that laptop could not start up. At this moment, try removing the battery and pulling out the power adapter, leave the laptop for about half an hour. After that, plug the power adapter singly, generally, the laptop could start up.
  If the machine still could not start up, or static discharging happens several times, which leads to startup failure. Then you should send the laptop to manufacturer to make a full check-up, when necessary, change partial accessories.
