Microsoft has been successful in creating much hype for its upcoming operating system, Windows 7. The new software will be officially launched on October 22nd and the devices bundle with the operating system, which has been already announced by different vendors, will be released in the market after the due date.
According to various analysts, unlike its predecessor Vista, which introduced a large number of new features, the new operating system is projected to be a more focused and augmented upgrade in the company’s Windows line. And it is expected to be fully compatible with applications and hardware of prior Microsoft’s versions.
The new software will have multi-touch support, a redesigned Windows Shell with a new taskbar, a home networking system called HomeGroup and many performance improvements that are discussed below:
Desktop
The new Windows 7 has various new features like Aero Shake, Aero Peek, and Snap that clear the open clutter or make the open windows translucent to check your desktop. The new operating system provides a choice of wallpapers, themes and slideshows. It has a new control panel interface that offers users to customize and switch between themes, as well as download more themes from the company's web site. Its improved taskbar shows thumbnail previews of web pages, documents or even running video.
