C) You must make sure that your IP address is different from the IP address of other host, otherwise, IP address conflict would occur. But the gateway should be the same and also DNS server.
5. Eliminate failure
After testing repeatedly, once confirm the failure source, and then it’s kind of easy to find out the failure type. For network hardware devices, the most convenient and fastest measure is to change;
A) For software failure, there are two methods to solve: the first one is to reinstall the software with problem, delete the issued files, besides, make sure you have all files needed;
B) To reset software, generally, the simplest way it o delete the user entirely, and then start from the beginning. Or repeat necessary steps; reinstall the issued software for the user. This problem could be solved faster by reconfiguring system;
C) Disable Norton software, or uninstall all Norton software. If you are available to enter LAN and then reinstall, if you still need Norton software;
D) After uninstalling all Norton software, if the network still fail to work normally, or there’re still some errors on computer, then try disabling Windows firewall and restarting the laptop;
E) Back up all data, format the disk, reinstall operation system and reconfigure the user system, which could solve the problem more quickly.
