I have a HP laptop, I’ve been had this laptop for a period of time, recently I found there are many unknown applications and files in disk and files, these stuffs are of no any use, what should I do to clear them up? Hope to get your any suggestion and help, thank you!

How to delete garbage files?
1. Delete the temp files system forms
During Windows installation and running processes, there are a lot of garbage files forming, including temp files (such as *.tmp, *._mp etc.), temporary backup file (such as *.bak, *.old, *.syd etc), temp help files (such as *.gid), disk checkup data files (*.chk) and *.dir, *.dmp, *.nch and other temp files;
A) Right click on “Start” button, and then choose “Search”, on the “Name” dialog, enter “*.tmp”, and set “Search” dropdown list as the entire disk, next click “Start searching”, at last, delete all tmp files found;
B) “C:\Tmp”, “C:\WINDOWS\Temp”, “C:\Documents and Settings\User name\Local Settings\Temp”, these temp folders are the breeding ground for “Garbage” files, which stores all temp files that you can delete it without any worry.
2. Delete “System recovery” folder
