Q: my laptop is HP Pavilion DV6728ca, now my problem is that the laptop disk could not read/write normally, sometimes even it could not be recognized, why is this?
A:
Failure analysis: according to the failure symptom, probably the disk boot has something wrong. Probably there are six situations for this kind of error:
1) System cannot read disk or store stably, boot from drive D, sometimes even could not enter drive C, this failure mostly happens on the disk connection port, we can pull and plug the laptop disk or change the interface adapter to do some tests, and probably we can quickly find where the failure is.
2) Laptop disk issue caused by CMOS, some old laptop CMOS cannot recognize or doesn’t support too large disk, for instance, the laptop disk type in CMOS actually is less than actual laptop disk capacitance, which would lead to laptop error prompt, even severely system cannot start up;
User might find that although sometimes system could start up, read/write error occurs. If it’s of multi-partition status, then individual partition would get lost, which would directly affect the normal work of the laptop disk.
3) Another important failure cause is that some disks have been used on laptops of other brands, and installed operation system and some other data, and then continue being used on another laptop. If the disk hasn’t been formatted again, then probably disk “read/write error” might occur, as the problem whether CMOS could recognize disk correctly directly affects nor
