Some have downloaded the ( Antivirus) software only to realize later on that they have downloaded a virus. How does it work?

First the software tells you its found lots of virus after doing a scan, Great but how do you remove them? The software then tells you to go to their website and register after you have typed in the forms you are then asked to pay ?0.00 or so to remove the viruses. This is a rip off and a big scam. The worse thing is you cannot remove the antivirus program. Even trying a system restore often will not remove it. There are plenty of system tools out there at the moment that totally slaughter your operating system. They slow it down and often start up as soon as you switch the computer on checking your system so you cannot do anything the laptop hardly responds at all. Everyone just wants your pound notes that's why they make these system tools and antivirus programs just to collect your cash. Can we recommend an Antivirus program?
