Cables and Connecting External Parts

Disconnect all cables and connecting external parts from the laptop. You will need to take each part and tilt to the side to drain off any excessive laptop spill. External parts can include the printer, laptop mouse, speakers and so forth.

Open the Laptop and Dry with Low Heat

Use a desktop fan or even a hair dryer on low heat to dry the laptop as much as you can. Don't use high heat because this can cause other damages to the laptop. Use no heat or low heat on the laptop for approximately five to ten minutes.
