Q:
Yesterday, I dropped a bottle of wine on my Dell 6400 laptop incautiously, and then I tried to turn it off. But it almost took me about 3 seconds to shut it down. But the wine had already entered into my laptop, so I opened it and dried all wine on it, and then I took the hard drive out of it, later locked it up carefully. I disassembled the laptop and then assembled to let it work. The laptop had run about 1 hour, which just provided me the time to recover some important files.
When I plugged the power button again, the laptop had run about 1 minute, then it turned off again. Now it cannot start, 1 second after starting, it shuts down immediately.
So I opened the laptop and found some parts seemed to be burnt already. This is my opinion, and now I need some help. This laptop is about $US 1200, I’m really sad, I don’t want any big problme happpen to it. Can I just ask Dell to change some parts inside for me? Hope to get your suggestion and help. Thank you!

1): I don’t think it's too bad, if this does happen, then first open the laptop and remove the motherboard, clean up all wine with cleanser for electrical equipments. First dry your system as possible as you could, after cleaning up all components all, then put it somewhere dry 2 to 3 days. I dealt with many cases with this method, if the motherboard is burnt, then the price is not just a little. And I don’t hope so, good luck to you!
You could try replacing some components, then you could find what’s wrong with it exactly. But probably you may have to pay the cost for two computers.
