BIOS(Basic Input Output System) controls all hardware setting of the entire computer. Guys who don’t know much about BIOS may feel it’s very hard, actually once you learned, it’s quite simple. All right, let’s come to the subject, actually so far four series BIOS settings of IBM ThinkPad’s XTRA are basically same. Here I’ll take T series as a sample, and introduce laptop BIOS setup.
When we open T-series, “Press F1 for IBM BIOS Setup Utility” appears at the bottom part of the screen, press F1 to enter BIOS setup interface. And in BIOS Setup, Config、Date/time、Password、Startup、Restart are all setting options, except these, others shown is system information of the machine.
First I’ll introduce system information about the laptop
Bios Version 1.04c(1AET47WW): this is the laptop BIOS version
Bios Date (Year-Month-Day) 2001-11-16 BIOS version release date
Embedded Controller Version 1.0c is the version of the embedded controller
System-unit serial number 2647I541234567 2647 is a model. I54 is Model,1234567 is the serial number.

Choose the lightness bar to Config, and
