Recently, many cyber pals claimed that new assembled computer, Core 3600+ or above CPU, 1650 or 1950 or 7900 graphic card. Wow, it should be a latest configuration for a computer. So why it’s still a little slower when running some games, it’s just as slow as a shift gears, or the games just could not run at all. And it prompted memory errors?

This is because you haven’t installed CPU Core patch. Microsoft pointed on their website: “If the computer running Windows XP Service Pack 2 has a processor supporting multi-processor power administrative function, then situation like performance decrease may happens”. Please refer to :

The first step: AMD official Core driver-- amdcpusetup.exe (INTEL CPU doesn’t need)


The second step: AMD official Core optimization application-Setup.exe (INTEL CPU doesn’t need)

The third step: Microsoft Core patch-- WindowsXP-KB896256-x86-CHS
