Recently I’m working on a PPT of high quality (it’s supposed to be played on Win), and suddenly I thought to abandon tranditional tool: Microsoft Office Powerpoint, and I picked Keynote.
I guess everybody knows that compared to Powerpoint, Keynote nothing but better, its templates are quite excellent. Keynote provides all kinds of animation effects and slide switch (transition) effect, which all could be described as “Gorgeous”. Besides, there’s one important key: Office 2008 for Mac provides really little fonts, while Keynote (all iWork) has very plentiful fonts (here we primarily mean English characters, Chinese characters are still quite less). Meanwhile, Keynote is more convenient to operate than Powerpoint. And I extremely like Keynote unique “Intelligent Component”, which easily realizes the gorgeous picture rolling effect. It makes it quite easy to insert video or audio medium to Keynote, and the content would also be auto packed into the file, no need to specify the path for it. Of course there’re more advantages about Keynote, and you can experience them personally if you want to know more about it.
And I think the main reason that Keynote is not that popular is the problem of compatibility. Usually it’s known to all that on Win, Keynote file could not be played, and the effect of PPT exported from Keynote is too bad. However, for my experience this time, I succeeded solving the problem.
