Q: I have a Hp pavilion dv6000 notebook, two days ago, My laptop's screen is black but the power button and the other keys light up look seem it sounds like the computer is on
I removed the memory and the hard drive , and turned it , but it still will not boot up
One day the computer was working fine. and went not work the next day. After I got home from work, the computer will not turn on. I get all the blue lights, but nothing on screen. No sound either, just lights. I have already re-seated the RAM and then went and bought a new memory card and put that in, and nothing... All light are showing like it's on but the screen is black.
A: The problem is the overheat of Video chipset. In notebooks that work hard with CPU and/or Wireless the problem appears more frequently. This is a result of HP with AMDs chipsets in theirs Pavilion notebooks model.
