Why “HP Pavilion DV2000” could not recognize hard disk?
Hi guys!
My HP Pavilion DV2000 (dv2015ea) has been working for a year like a horse, and it installs Win XP. But recently, suddenly, it could not recognize the hard disk any more……
The first point, I don’t want to format my hard disk;
Second, personally I think the problem is probably on the driver for the SATA disk, but I don’t know how to install or repair it without formatting it. (I have a movable disk, wondering whether it could help).

Anybody got the same problem before?

Re: generally, you should first try BIOS Setup, and you can follow the next steps:
1. Enter BIOS;
2. Choose “Onboard Peripherals” and then choose “onboard SATA”;
3. Ensure whether it is SATA, but not AHCI or RAID.
