In Windows XP/2003 it is possible to enable remote controlling by enabling remote assistance as well as remote desktop. By using Telnet, which is included in Windows XP, we can make Windows 2003 the server and Windows XP the client in this Telnet connection.

Double click this icon and another window will appear. Change the startup type to automatic and then click apply. Another button will be available to you now. Click this button (it says "Start"). Now click OK to close this window.
Step 2: Connecting with Telnet
In Windows XP, open the Command Prompt and then start telnet by typing "telnet
