This method is for guys who don’t have DVD burner but want to install single Vista system. Then you can store the install files on movable hard disk…and install Vista from it! The effect by this method is just like the installation boot from DVD.
.In XP system, activate a movable hard disk with enough space (in computer “Disk management”, right click the partition you need and choose “Mark the disk partition active”);
.Copy all files on the disc to the movable disk by Daemon Tools;
.Under XP command prompt, execute X:\boot\bootsect /nt60 x: (X is the partition label of the movable disk), this step is to let the movable disk bootable;
.Restart the computer, and in CMOS setup, set the first boot device as USB boot;
.Boot by movable disk, and then Vista installation begins. This process is exactly same as disc installation, you could format your drive C and install single system.
