Q:
If I use Windows Update to check up system updates, and next time when I restart the computer, the screen would show: “There are 3 updates installing”, but it always keeps 0% state, and then turns off automatically and restarts again…therefore, basically I could not check up or install the latest updates. I tried recovering system to a pervious version, but this still happens. Recently I installed latest Windows Update Agent 7.2.6001.784. I believe that my program probably is broken, so I tried downloading a new one from Microsoft website and reinstalling: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949104
When I was to download it, an error prompted, saying “Installation fails, error code: 0x80073712”. What should I do now?
A:
1): Try using Vista installation CD to repair “startup” or “system restore”.
1): Once I have repaired laptops with the same problem, and here’s a solution from Microsoft, please check out this link, hope it could help: http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=k...9358&x=11&y=10
